It's no secret that the high-waisted look has found its way back from the 1970's to our closet, especially mine. Numerous styles came from this decade and its influence in modern fashion continues to trend set. 70's fashion ranges from retro, disco, hippy, military, bohemian, glam rock so I'm OBSESSED with all the potential style combinations, specifically with high-waist pants and trousers. In my opinion there is no fashion style that better integrates with today's modern look.

No matter if it's shorts, skirts, or pants they're perfect for adding a few more inches to your height and making it look like you have endless legs without the discomfort of having to wear 10-inch heels. It's one of those styles that hugs your figure in all the right places and suits any body type. Not only do they make your butt and waist look amazing but they cover your stomach perfectly. (Trust me ladies, high-waisted garments are your best friend when you're out to eat and you feel like indulging in a little dessert , haha! )

Below you'll see how I styled my simple black high-waisted dress pants with a simple graphic tee which is a great way to add a statement to your look. I paired it with my trend piece of the season the Baker Boy hat and some strappy heels. Et voilà!

Below I've linked some of my favorite dressy and casual high-waited pants for you to shop as well as what tops I would style it with and the exact outfit worn in these pictures, enjoy!

My High-Waist Picks:

No matter if it's a casual day at the beach, a fancy night out, or just another day at the office there is a high-waisted style for anyone and any occasion:

How to Style:

Even though there really aren't any limits to styling high-waisted pants there are some pieces that I particularly prefer. Since you want to be able to make the pants the centerpiece of your look make sure to combine them with a figure-forming top. (Tip: tuck in longer shirts to accentuate the waist!) Bodysuits, crop tops and tight t-shirts (like the one I am wearing) are a great option. I've linked some of my faves here:
