Moving to Miami gave the word "Brunch" an entire new meaning. If I thought I had brunched before coming here, well I was wrong. Miami takes brunching to a whole other level. Obviously. Since everything in this city is just a bit more glitzy and a bit more glamorous of course they had to take something quite common and turn it into a whole day affair. And because breakfast happens to be my favorite meal of the day (I mean how could it not?!), I am happy to have landed in the glorious land of brunchers. Having have been to my fair share of brunches I thought I would share the best ones in a  blog series called "Miami Brunch Chronicles", since I want every Miami-native, newbie or tourist to know where the best spots are to get that best avocado tartine and croque madame while sipping on your Mimosa and feeling super "Miami".

WHERE? 1080 Alton Rd., Miami Beach, 33139

BRUNCH? FRI, SAT, SUN 12 - 4 pm

VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY? Absolutely. Practically veggie-heaven.

I had just recently discovered this place for dinner and was roaring to go back when I heard they offered brunch on the weekends. (all 3 days which is great if you can't make it on Sunday).

The atmosphere is bright and very spacious! We started off by ordering some sushi and dumplings. They have a special dim sum service where they go around with a cart and you can choose the dim sums of your choice (the selection is huge! If you're dining with a vegetarian definitely try the mushroom & potato.

This Chinese style veggie quinoa with poached egg was incredible. It's exclusive to their brunch menu and definitely worth trying. Very flavorful and not your usual bland quinoa dish.

Now when I read Green Tea French Toast on the menu I was a bit taken back and not quite sure what to expect. I am a French Toast aficionado and it takes quite a bit to impress me on a dish that has been done so many times. But THIS DISH gave me one of those earth-stopping WOW  moments. You know, those times when you don't even know how something can taste so incredibly good and you feel like you could eat this every day for the rest of your life and never get bored of it? Yes THAT is the feeling I got with this. It's slightly crispy on the outside and the inside has a fluffy, gooey consistency that makes this one of the best French Toasts I've ever tried. Just writing this makes my mouth water all over again.

Can't wait to be back at one of my new favorite brunch spots in Miami!

You can check out their full menu here:

See you next time!
